Lens, too tough to be beaten, held off Paris and won the French Super Cup

They pulled off a surprise and won their first title of the year

Lens pulled off an upset by defeating French and European champion Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 to win the French Super Cup.

Despite the fact that the home team was down a man for most of the match, they withstood the pressure and, thanks to a goal by Oudol in the 32nd minute, secured the victory.

Luis Enrique’s team failed at every stage of the match to live up to expectations, with their inability to create standout moments glaringly evident, despite the substitutions made during the match. And so, they failed to win their second Super Cup, following their European Super Cup victory over Aston Villa just a few days ago.
