Panathinaikos faces its final hurdle before the Conference League’s League Phase. The “Greens” have entered the most crucial week of the season—until next week—as on Thursday night (August 20, 9:30 p.m.) they’ll face Hradec Kralove at OAKA in the first leg of their playoff series, where they aim to take the lead in the series.
The “clover” overcame two obstacles that were difficult by this season’s standards, as both Paksi and CSKA 1948 proved to be quite… tough.
The team’s preparations began on Sunday, and starting today (August 17) they’ll be stepping on the gas, with Jacob Nystrup finalizing the starting lineup while also working on other aspects of the game.
Triantafyllos Tsapras will be available to the Danish coach for the playoffs, as he has served his suspension and is returning to the squad. On the other hand, Davide Calabria will try to be ready for the rematch, while Kings Kangwa is also out of action, as he is ineligible to play.
The training sessions leading up to Thursday’s match will help Desers and Tetei get into the best possible shape, as the former is coming off a long layoff and the latter is recovering from an illness.
