An 81-year-old woman’s fall in Anissaras, Hersonissos, on Sunday at noon had a tragic outcome.
According to reports from Nea Kriti, the elderly woman was attempting to board a bus when she suddenly lost her balance and fell backward.

During the fall, the 81-year-old struck the back of her head hard against the pavement, resulting in serious injuries. An EKAB ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene, picked up the elderly woman, and transported her to the hospital on duty in Heraklion.
Despite the doctors’ efforts, the 81-year-old woman died a short time later.
