A tragedy occurred today, Tuesday, in which four people lost their lives and 10 others were injured when a small passenger bus overturned in the Susekhri area, in the central province of Sebasteia in Turkey, according to the Turkish media outlet “HaberTurk.”

The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m., local time, on the D-865 highway, in the area between the villages of Elmaseki and Tsotrak, when the driver lost control of the minibus, which was traveling from Sebastia to Soushehri, according to a statement from the Sevastia Governor’s Office.
The minibus struck the road’s guardrails and then overturned, coming to rest on the embankment.
Of the 14 passengers, four lost their lives, while four were seriously injured and six sustained minor injuries.
Emergency responders, including rescue workers and medical personnel, police officers, rural police, firefighters, and officials from the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency.
The injured were transported to nearby hospitals and medical facilities in the province of Sivas for first aid and treatment.
An investigation into the accident has been launched by the relevant authorities.
