Michalis Grigoriou sent a clear message to his players ahead of the start of the season during Aris’s practice yesterday.
The Greek coach pointed out that this is where the real work begins, emphasizing that the team’s goal is to win every game.
“We put in a solid performance in the Cup; at times we played good soccer and secured the qualification we were after. Starting today, however, we’re shifting into league mode. Pre-season is over; double training sessions are over. Now the hard part begins, and now what really matters is the substance,” he said—initially—and continued:
“Personally, I’m eagerly awaiting the new season and I’m glad we’re getting started. I hope you all feel the same way. In every game, there’s one thing that must be on our minds: victory. Nothing else. Victory in every game—that’s the spirit we’ll bring,” he emphasized, and highlighted the “Yellows’” opening match of the season against Kalamata.
“We have our season opener on Saturday. It’s important to start with a win. We have a lot of quality, we have experience, we have talent. We have everything we need to have a very good season. I have complete faith in you, and I’m optimistic. Let’s take it one step at a time, and everything will work out,” he concluded.
