Members of the Limassol Police Department are continuing their investigation at a rapid pace, into the cause of death of a five-month-old infant, who was found unconscious around 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the crib where he had been sleeping, as reported by his Greek Cypriot mother.
Authorities are investigating a case of sudden or unnatural death and have already conducted a postmortem examination at the fateful home where the unfortunate little angel drew his last breath.

According to reports, the 32-year-old mother immediately notified the authorities about the infant’s condition, and the child was transported by ambulance to a private hospital in Limassol, where the on-duty physician confirmed the infant’s death.
The exact cause of the child’s death is expected to be determined during the legally required autopsy to be performed on the body, while examinations so far have not revealed any external injuries.
