Commercial ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz did not increase on Wednesday, as efforts to end the conflict between the United States and Iran remain at an impasse.
According to the latest data from the ship-tracking company Kpler, nine cargo ships transited the Strait on Wednesday, a number unchanged from the previous day.

Ship traffic through the strategic sea lane remains well below pre-war levels, as many shipowners are avoiding the region due to uncertainty and the attacks that have been carried out against tankers. Last weekend, traffic declined even further following new attacks on ships and the deadlock in U.S.-Iran talks.
