The trial investigating the circumstances surrounding Diego Maradona’s death—in which seven healthcare professionals are accused—has been temporarily suspended until August 27.
The reason for this is that a defense attorney claimed that the kidney test results presented during the trial did not belong to the late soccer superstarbut rather those of his father, who was also named Diego and passed away in 2015.
Consequently, the presiding court ordered a clinic and a healthcare provider to produce test results from 2011 to 2015.
However, this development is not expected to jeopardize the continuation of the trial, as the prosecutor and the attorneys argued.
