Arsenal made a major signing just a few hours before the start of the Premier League season. The champions reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign Ezri Konsa for 60 million euros, with the 28-year-old center back signing a four-year contract.
The 28-year-old England international defender (his father is from the Congo, his mother is from Angola, but he was born and raised in London), who played in all of the “Lions’” matches at the recent World Cup, can also play as a right back.
He has been playing for Villa since 2019, celebrating the Europa League title with the team just a few months ago. In total, he made 286 appearances, scored 12 goals, and recorded 4 assists while wearing their jersey, and he has also made 28 appearances and scored 2 goals for the England national team.
