As the culmination of this new growth cycle, the the announcement of the BIOIATRIKI Group’s financial results for 2025, which showed significant growth in revenue, a doubling of operating profit (Adjusted EBITDA), a return to substantial net income, strengthened liquidity, and a drastic reduction in debt.

The Group, which has been operating in Cyprus since 2017 through a steadily increasing investment in the primary healthcare sector (clinical laboratories and imaging centers), embarked in 2024 on a new cycle of growth and more effective, efficient operations, with an emphasis on innovation, digitalization and new technologies, modern management and corporate governance systems, as well as high-quality healthcare services.

The positive results are already evident in the 2025 financial results, with this positive trend expected to strengthen significantly in the coming years. Specifically, the Group’s revenue before rebates and clawbacks increased by 5%, reaching 200.9 million euros, while revenue after rebates and clawbacks rose by 12%, reaching €159.4 million, due to a significant improvement in the mix of services provided. The Group’s adjusted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, and Depreciation (Adjusted EBITDA), excluding non-recurring expenses, nearly doubled, reaching €26.6 million, compared to €13.7 million in 2024. The Group’s Net Income amounted to 6.1 million euros, compared to a loss of 12 million euros in 2024, signaling the Group’s growth toward a consistently profitable trajectory.

Strong Presence in Cyprus

Beginning with the establishment in 1981 of a small endocrinology laboratory on Michalakopoulou Street in Athens, the BIOIATRIKI Group is today the leading private provider of primary healthcare services, with 74 independent Diagnostic Centers in Greece and Cyprus, which receive more than 3,000,000 visits per year.

In Cyprus, the BIOIATRIKI Group has been present since 2017, when, following an international tender, it undertook the establishment, staffing, and operation of the clinical laboratory at the German Oncology Center. Since then, its presence has been steadily growing through the gradual acquisition of a majority stake in Giannouka Laboratories, the full acquisition of the ALPHA EVRESIS diagnostic center, and the integration of Pavlidis Laboratories into its network.

In total, it currently has a presence in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos, with two central, fully automated clinical laboratories, 22 blood collection centers, 2 state-of-the-art imaging centers, and 1 Multifunctional Center—the first of its kind in our country, where clinical, laboratory, and imaging services are housed under one roof. At the same time, as part of its investments in new technologies, is currently installing a second state-of-the-art MRI scanner with artificial intelligence at the Multifunctional Center in Nicosia, which will complement the first 3-Tesla MRI with artificial intelligence installed in Cyprus in 2020 at the same center.

Focus on innovation, digitization, and new technologies

In a statement issued upon the release of the financial results, the Chairman and CEO of the BIOIATRIKI Group, Mr. Georgios Spanos, said: “2025 confirms that our strategy is paying off. The Group’s return to significant net profits, the doubling of our operating profitability, and the drastic reduction in debt are not the result of favorable circumstances, but of the systematic work we began in 2024. We streamlined our operations at every level, harmonized our processes, systems, and corporate governance with international best practices, and we have invested in innovation, digital transformation, and our people. With these foundations in place, the BIOIATRIKI Group looks to the future with optimism and confidence, ready to play a decisive role in the evolving healthcare landscape, as it has done over the years.”
