The Waldhof Mannheim vs. Kaiserslautern German Cup derby was extremely eventful!
With the score tied at 0-0 and both teams preparing for the start of extra time, fans stormed the field with smoke bombs in their hands, riot police and mounted officers intervened, while the players from both teams were escorted to the locker rooms.
Eventually, tensions subsided after about half an hour, with extra time beginning and Kaiserslautern securing a 1-0 victory and advancing to the next round of the Cup.
