A new twist has emerged in the case of the two victims found dead early this morning outside the entrance to an apartment building in Nea Smyrni. According to evidence gathered by detectives from the Homicide Division, all signs point to a femicide.
Based on the evidence available to the authorities, a man of Albanian origin is alleged to have ambushed the 45-year-old woman, who was also of Albanian origin. When she arrived at the entrance to the apartment building, the man allegedly shot her, fatally wounding her, and then took his own life.
Police have recovered the weapon, and footage from the apartment building’s security cameras appears to have played a significant role in the investigation. The footage reportedly shows the man waiting for the woman, shooting her, and then taking his own life.
