In a traffic accident that occurred around 6:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon in Limassol, a 56-year-old rider of a personal mobility device (scooter) was seriously injured.
Specifically, while the 56-year-old was riding his scooter on Chr. Hatzipavlou Street in Limassol, under circumstances currently under investigation by the police, he collided with a motorcycle driven by a 35-year-old man.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle skidded across the road and came to a stop under a bus that was parked at a bus stop.

Both the 56-year-old and the 35-year-old were transported by ambulance to private hospitals in Limassol.
According to the attending physicians, the 56-year-old has a skull fracture, a ruptured spleen, and a pneumothorax. He is in critical condition. As for the 35-year-old motorcycle rider, he has abrasions and bruises all over his body.

It should be noted that the 35-year-old underwent a breathalyzer and drug test, both of which came back negative.
The Limassol Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
