Sutalo’s transfer to Aris is entering the final stretch, as the Croatian center back is already in Thessaloniki to finalize the last details and officially become a player for the “yellow-and-blacks.”
Bosko Sútalo arrived in the city at midnight, following the agreement reached between Aris and Standard Liège. The 26-year-old center back is expected to undergo the necessary medical and fitness tests and then sign his new contract.
The agreement covers his loan for this season and includes a purchase option for next summer. Thus, Aris will have the option to keep the Croatian defender on its roster, provided it exercises the relevant option.
Signing a center back was one of the Thessaloniki club’s top transfer priorities. The case of Sutalo had been a major focus for the club’s management and ultimately took center stage after the obstacle that arose in the case of Christian Makoun.
Since that particular deal did not proceed as expected, Aris accelerated negotiations for Sútalo and managed to reach an agreement with Standard Liège.
Now only the formalities remain to finalize Sotal’s transfer to Aris, with the player already in Thessaloniki and the announcement expected after medicals and the signing of the contract.
Meanwhile, Aris continues its transfer planning for other positions as well. Strengthening the midfield remains a priority, while the “yellow-and-blacks” are also evaluating their options for the attack.
