César Luis Merlo reports on Olympiacos’s efforts to sign Edson Álvarez. In a report for “Super Deportivo,” the reputable reporter mentions an offer from the “Red-and-Whites” of 8 million euros for the 28-year-old tall midfielder.
“Negotiations remain open; despite intense pressure from the Greek team, there is no final agreement,” Merlo emphasizes. “Real Sociedad is showing strong interest in the Mexican midfielder, although its initial offer is for a loan.” The player is carefully analyzing the proposals on the table with the aim of remaining among the elite of European soccer,” Merlo adds.
