Anorthosis continues to invest in developing young players from its academy; following Andreas Avraam, the club is now giving Filippos Lytras a chance as well.
Although he has not yet turned 16, the talent and rapid development of the winger allowed him to participate in the men’s team’s training sessions last season, and with the signing of his first professional contract, he is now an official member of the roster.

Lytras has also represented Greece at all youth national team levels for his age group.
In detail: “Anorthosis Famagusta announces the signing of the first professional contract with our Academy player, Filippos Lytras (August 28, 2010).
Lytras, who plays as a winger, has been part of our Club’s youth system since a young age. Although he has not yet turned 16, his performances and progress led to him joining the men’s team’s training sessions last year, and he is now an official member of the roster. At the same time, he has represented Greece at all youth national team levels for his age group.
Anorthosis consistently invests in the development and promotion of young soccer players, creating the conditions for the children in our Academy to have real prospects for growth and advancement to the first team.
The signing of Filippos’s first professional contract is yet another step in this direction. We wish him good health, continued progress, and much success wearing the Anorthosis jersey.”
