And as of today (August 24), Klay Thompson will officially be Giannis Antetokounmpo’s teammate.
The veteran guard—one of the best shooters in NBA history— is joining the Greek forward and the rest of the roster with the goal of leading the Florida team to the top.
Last season, Thompson averaged 11.7 points on 38.3% from three-point range, as well as 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per 21.7 minutes in 69 games with the Dallas Mavericks.
Overall, in 13 seasons on the other side of the Atlantic with the Golden State Warriors and the Mavericks, the 36-year-old star has averaged 18.6 points on 41% shooting from three-point range, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per 31.4 minutes over 934 regular-season games.
We just made a splash, bro! Welcome to the 305, @KlayThompson
