A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region.
Today, the weather will be generally mostly clear, though at times there will be locally increased cloud cover, which may lead to isolated showers in the mountains after noon. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort, before gradually becoming mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and along the southern coast in the afternoon, temporarily reaching strong winds, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 39 degrees inland, around 32 on the western and southwestern coasts, around 35 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 30 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will remain generally clear, while the coasts will see temporary increases in low cloud cover. Later on and during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form locally, mainly in inland and eastern areas. Winds will gradually become downdrafts and locally variable, light, at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees inland, around 25 on the coast, and around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mainly clear with temporary increases in local cloud cover; however, in the mountains after noon, isolated showers or even isolated thunderstorms may occur.
Temperatures through Thursday will remain at the same levels, which are above normal for this time of year, but on Friday they will drop slightly, hovering near and slightly above average seasonal values.
