The Minister of Justice, Konstantinos Fytiris, was asked about security details for political officials and whether a relevant bill had been submitted to the Cabinet.
In remarks made at the Presidential Palace following the conclusion of the Cabinet meeting, the Minister of Justice clarified that this is not a bill and that within the next few days, the matter will be resolved by a decision of the Cabinet.

“It will be a decision made by the Cabinet regarding how the situation will be assessed going forward and how guards will be assigned to political leaders as well as other former and current officials,” he said, adding that each case will be examined individually.
