With Aboubakar Koïta training as usual, AEK is wrapping up its preparations for the big rematch against Levski Sofia, on Wednesday night (August 26, 10:00 p.m.) at Allwyn Arena.
The Mauritanian attacking midfielder had been sidelined for the league opener against Heraklis due to discomfort, but he has since recovered and is participating normally in Enosis’s final training session.
Thus, Koita is available to coach Marko Nikolić ahead of the match that will determine qualification for the Champions League League Phase, following the 0-0 draw in the first leg in Sofia.
In fact, according to reports, the 26-year-old star has a strong chance not only of making the roster but also of starting, with Gacinović serving as the backup option on the left wing.
AEK is expected to line up with Strakosa in goal, Rota, Mukundi, Relvas, and Pilio on defense, Kairinen and Marin in midfield, and Mayer, Koita, Varga, and Jović rounding out the attacking line.
