The solar farm at the (WWTP) in Miliá, marking another step by the Nicosia District Local Government Organization toward the green transition. A related announcement states that the project was implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the European Union.
“The connection work was coordinated and supervised by Mehmet Harmanji’s team, with whom we have consistently enjoyed a very good working relationship. The work has now been completed, and the solar farm is operational.”
With a capacity of 1,018 kWp, the solar farm will harness solar energy to meet part of the power plant’s electricity needs.
“This is expected to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of the power plant’s operations. The completion of this project represents yet another important step toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly operation of wastewater management infrastructure.”
The Nicosia Water Authority emphasizes that it will continue to promote projects that save energy, reduce costs, and contribute to environmental protection.
