The news of the death of Dimitris Kokotas, at the age of 57, plunged his family, friends, and colleagues in the music and television industries into mourning.
The singer passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following a long battle with illness that began in March 2024, when he suffered an acute heart attack and cardiac arrest during a rehearsal for J2US. Since then, he remained hospitalized at the “G. Genimatas” Hospital, fighting a difficult battle for more than two years. According to information published so far, his death was caused by septic shock.
