Panathinaikos has reached a verbal agreement with Watford to sign the team’s captain, Imran Louza.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who plays for the Moroccan national team, is expected to travel to Athens later today to undergo the necessary medical tests and sign his contract with the “clover.”
Panathinaikos has managed to sign a top-notch “No. 8,” at a prime age, an international with his home country’s national team, and, of course, from a league that is among the most competitive and tough in Europe.
As soon as the formalities for his transfer are completed, he will sign with the “clover” for the next 3+1 years.
As anyone can easily understand, signing the “Hornets’” captain required a financial stretch, and the Greek club made yet another such effort to add a quality player to the roster and expand Nystrup’s options.
