Julian Alvarez appears to be closer than ever to leaving Atlético Madrid, with Arsenal now the most likely destination for his future, according to reports in Spain.
As reported, following Atlético Madrid’s announcement, he reportedly realized that a move to Barcelona is no longer a realistic option and that the prospect of joining Arsenal is the one that could resolve the situation.

Furthermore, during the match against Villarreal, there were several signs of the difficult situation that has developed. Álvarez’s family was not in the stands, as had been the case since the day the player moved to Madrid, and after the match ended, he left the field before his teammates amid boos.
The situation became even more complicated on Wednesday (August 26), when Alvarez failed to show up for practice. The player contacted the club that morning, explaining that he’d had a rough night and wasn’t in a condition to train.
At the same time, Arsenal remains in the picture, and with the transfer window drawing to a close, it appears to be the only realistic option for the Argentine forward.
