Imra Louza has been in Athens since Wednesday afternoon to finalize his transfer to Panathinaikos.
The 27-year-old midfielder, a Moroccan national team player, will undergo the necessary medical exams on Thursday and sign his contract with Panathinaikos, a 3+1-year deal, with the transfer announcement expected on Friday.
Panathinaikos has reached a full agreement with Watford and is acquiring their captain, successfully finalizing the signing they were seeking for the “No. 8” position.
Luzza, who was born in France but has earned 15 caps for Morocco (scoring two goals), came up through the ranks at Nantes and has been playing for Watford since 2021, with a brief loan stint at Lorient. With the English club, he played one season (2021–22) in the Premier League, making 22 appearances, while he spent the following four years playing in the Championship. Last season, he recorded 23 appearances and 6 goals.
