Alarm at the Kalo Chorio firing range after an unexploded projectile was found

An alarm was sounded yesterday at the Kalo Chorio firing range when an unexploded projectile was discovered. The Ministry of Defense and the National Guard were notified by the police, and bomb disposal experts rushed to the scene.

According to sources at the Ministry of Defense, the projectile was finally neutralized today through a special controlled demolition procedure carried out by National Guard bomb disposal experts.

However, reports indicate that the unexploded ordnance was left behind from one of the exercises conducted at the site by the National Guard in the past, though it cannot be determined which exercise or when it took place.
