Rubén Vargas is a player Olympiacos has been evaluating for several days now. With the whole situation dragging on and no agreement having been reached yet, it’s possible that the “Red-and-Whites” might look elsewhere to strengthen their wing positions.

“The club’s position is clear: if Olympiacos or Bologna want to sign Rubén Vargas before the transfer window closes, they must pay the agreed-upon fee; otherwise the forward will continue to wear the Sevilla jersey this season,” the report states.
The report does note, however, that the Piraeus club remains in a strong position to sign the 28-year-old winger, having submitted a better offer than Bologna, but there is still a gap between that offer and what Sevilla is looking for.
