The Ministry of Labor and Social Security is continuing its consultations with the social partners on pension reform at an intensive pace, in order to meet the timelines set by Labor Minister Marinos Mousiouttas.
At the start of the Labor Advisory Council meeting on Friday morning at the Ministry, the social partners agreed to meet twice a week.

Specifically, they will meet every Monday and Thursday morning in the coming weeks, until the bill is submitted to Parliament. Next Monday, August 31, the Council will meet at 4:30 p.m.
In his opening remarks, the Minister expressed his intention to engage in intensive consultations, noting that, from a legal drafting perspective, there is room for amendments to the proposal presented to the social partners.
Earlier, the Technical Committee was briefed by the Ministry on “Pillar Zero,” which concerns the state’s social policy for low-income pensioners.
