With Cedi Osman running riot for his country’s national team, Turkey crushed Lithuania 94–66 in Istanbul and remained undefeated in its group for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
The former Panathinaikos player and current PAOK player scored 22 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field, 3-of-5 from three-point range, 5-of-6 from the free-throw line, six rebounds, three steals, and just one turnover.
After the game, Ergin Ataman heaped praise on the forward with whom he had an excellent partnership at Panathinaikos.
“I congratulate Cedi. He’s doing a fantastic job as the team’s captain. He gives it his all—of course, there may be moments when his performance dips, but today he was once again at a very high level.
Cedi is the best player in Europe at his position. When you teach him the right kind of basketball, he reflects it perfectly on the court. He plays and makes his teammates play. He contributes immensely with his positive attitude. He brings a lot to the team, and I hope he continues to lead us in many more games.”
