The news of the death of King Harald of Norway, at the age of 89, moved the royal families of Europe. Paul de Grès publicly bid farewell to his uncle with a deeply personal message, highlighting the ties that have linked the Norwegian and Greek royal families for decades.
Harald died on August 28 at the University Hospital of Oslo, following a long reign that began in 1991. He was automatically succeeded by his son, who ascended the throne as King Haakon VIII.
