Larnaca Film Festival 2026
This Sunday, August 30, marks the fourth and final day of the 2026 Larnaca Film Festival, which will conclude with a walking tour, a film screening, and a concert.

A Sweet Summer Night
A sweet summer night in the square of Old Engomi. On Monday, August 31, at 8:00 p.m., a tribute to summer songs featuring the band “Periplanomena Karavia.”
Admission to all events is free to the public.
“Seven Against Thebes,” Again
The production, which was presented at the International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama, returns for a single performance on Wednesday, September 2, at the Amphitheater of the School for the Blind in Nicosia, at 9:00 p.m.
Award-winning director Lea Maleni presents a contemporary and dynamic stage interpretation of the final tragedy in Aeschylus’s Theban Cycle. Drawing on Myth, History, and collective memory, the production engages with the present day, focusing on fear, trauma, and the ravages of civil war. In a world of endless, perpetuating fratricidal conflicts, where the dividing lines between perpetrator and victim grow increasingly blurred, a theater troupe unites its voices in a heart-wrenching multicultural coexistence, seeking light amid the maelstrom of war.
The Elixir of Love
Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5, at 7:30 p.m., the Medieval Castle of Paphos hosts this year’s Pafos Aphrodite Festival, which presents Gaetano Donizetti’s famous opera *L’elisir d’amore* (The Elixir of Love).
An opera that has been enchanting audiences around the world for two centuries with its romance, humor, and unforgettable melodies. This captivating production by the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Armenia transports the story to a symbolic post-apocalyptic landscape, offering a fresh, contemporary take on this timeless drama. This year, the production is accompanied by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, conducted by internationally renowned maestro Karen Durgaryan, Music Director of the National Opera and Ballet of Armenia.
Larnaca Jazz Festival
On September 4 and 5, Zouhouri Square will be transformed into a large outdoor jazz stage, hosting Elisabeth Simonian & Friends, Macumba Salsa Project, The Jazz Quartet, and The Storyville Ragtimers. The concerts will begin at 8:30 p.m. and promise two unforgettable evenings filled with rhythm, improvisation, and a summery atmosphere.
Della: A Secret Concert
The Municipality of Strovolos, in collaboration with Louvana Records, presents a secret concert with the award-winning Della. This is a unique musical experience that transforms a public space into a live music stage, offering the audience a concert unlike any other. The star of the evening will be Della, the Cypriot artist who was honored with the prestigious Music Moves Europe (MME) Award, one of the most prestigious European honors for emerging artists.
The concert will take place on Saturday, September 5,September 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at a secret location that will be revealed shortly before the event begins on the social media accounts of the Strovolos Municipality, Louvana Records, and the singer.
Candlelight
The global classical music series known simply as Candlelight is coming to Nicosia. On September 5, the Pallas Theater will be filled with candles, and by their light, the first performance will feature the music of Vivaldi, while the second will feature Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.
At 6:00 p.m., we’ll hear Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. At 8:30 p.m., Coldplay vs. Ed Sheeran.
