The Cyprus Sports Organization expressed its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Dimos Mavropoulos, following the tragic loss of the 76-year-old at Cape Greco. Dimis Mavropoulos lost his life after two boats sank due to the severe rough seas caused by extreme weather conditions.
The CAA’s statement: “The Cyprus Sports Organization extends its sincere condolences to the family of Dimis Mavropoulos, who passed away at the age of 76.
A dynamic entrepreneur, Dimis Mavropoulos left his mark on motorsports in Cyprus, having been one of the most prominent rally drivers of his era.
His great love for cars led him to establish the Cyprus Historic and Classic Car Museum in Limassol.
