An elderly man lost his life on Saturday in Kryopigi, Chalkidiki, when, under circumstances that are under investigation, he was crushed by his car. According to a statement from the police, who have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, the victim was 84 years old.
The incident occurred in the yard of his home, and the Fire Department’s Operations Center was notified around 10 p.m. on Saturday. Four firefighters arrived at the scene in two vehicles. Using rescue tools, the firefighters extricated the elderly man and pulled him out while he was unconscious.

He was taken into the care of the National Ambulance Service (EKAV) and transported to the Kassandra Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.
