Concerns arose at PAOK regarding Pantelis Hatzidiakos following the 2-1 victory over Atromitos in Peristeri, as the international center back was unable to finish the match due to a calf injury.
Hatzidiakos started the game, but in the first half he felt a tightness and it was deemed best for him not to continue in the second half. Alessio Lisi came on to replace him at halftime to prevent the injury from worsening and avoid the possibility of a more serious injury.
His condition is expected to be evaluated by PAOK’s medical staff, to determine the exact extent of the problem and get a clearer picture of how long he might need to be sidelined.
At PAOK, are awaiting the results of the examination, as Hatzidiakos is a key player in the center of the defense, and any absence of his will affect planning for upcoming matches.
The Greek international’s injury was essentially the only piece of bad news from a night that ended on a high note for PAOK. The “black-and-whites” fell behind after a goal by Christopher Núñez in the 19th minute, but managed to turn the game around and secure their second consecutive win to start the Stoiximan Super League season.
