The number of people missing in the shipwreck off the coast of Kyrenia, which occurred early Sunday afternoon and claimed the lives of at least 8 people, has risen to 20.
According to the latest official update from the occupying authorities: 8 people lost their lives, 239 were rescued, and 20 remain missing.
Meanwhile, the pseudo-state has released the names of those who lost their lives in the shipwreck:

The so-called Prime Minister Ünal Ustel announced that rescue teams are continuing their search for the 20 missing persons around the clock, with the support of the Republic of Turkey.
Ustel stated that search and rescue operations are continuing by sea and air and that a comprehensive investigation is being conducted by the Police Department and the relevant authorities to shedlight on all aspects of this tragic incident.
Oustel also said that as a result of the investigations conducted by the “police,” the statements taken, the comparison of passenger information, and the confirmations obtained by contacting individuals one by one, the initial data was reassessed, and it was determined that two people previously considered among the survivors are in fact missing. With this development, the number of missing persons has risen from 18 to 20.

The “Prime Minister” Oustel emphasized that the focus of the efforts is on locating the missing persons, adding that they are keeping their hopes alive and awaiting good news from the rescue teams’ intensive efforts.
Meanwhile, two more ships from Turkey—capable of diving to a depth of 1,000 meters—are expected to arrive in the occupied territories by tomorrow.
