The first meeting of the Turkey- Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, which was established under the Mecca Joint Defense Pact.
According to Turkish media reports, the meeting took place at the Çırağan Palace and focused on defense cooperation, joint production, counterterrorism, and international security.
Turkey was represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yasar Güler, and the Chief of the General Staff, Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu.
The meeting was also attended by the foreign and defense ministers, as well as senior military officials from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The Joint Defense Pact was signed on August 7 in Mecca, and according to the Turkish side, the goal is to strengthen cooperation among the three countries in the areas of security, stability, and defense, as well as to enhance their joint deterrence capabilities.
