Mediterranean Games: Filippa Fotopoulou Wins Gold with a Jump of 6.59 m.

Second Gold for Cyprus

ALPHANEWSLIVE

Filippa Fotopoulou jumped 6.59 meters. and climbed to the top of the podium, giving Cyprus yet another gold medal at the 20th Mediterranean Games!

Our champion needed just one attempt to send a clear message! With her first jump of 6.59m, she secured the top spot and… never relinquished it until the very end.

None of her rivals could surpass Fotopoulou’s top performance; she held onto first place until the very end and celebrated a magnificent Mediterranean victory.

Following Antonis Kesidis’s gold yesterday in the hammer throw, Milan and Elena’s silver medals today, and just a short while ago Fotopoulou’s gold in the long jump, the Cypriot delegation is proving that successes are coming from all directions.
