Four minors, who are alleged to have been involved in robberies targeting pedestrians in downtown Thessaloniki, were arrested by officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Division.
They include three Greek nationals and one foreign national, aged 14 to 17, who were arrested on Monday (August 31) and against whom the White Tower Crime Investigation and Prosecution Division filed charges for robbery committed in concert.
According to the police, the four youths were walking through the city center when they approached a 42-year-old man and attempted, under threat of violence, to steal his money and cell phone.

Shortly afterward, along the beachfront, the same suspects appear to have approached a 71-year-old man. Using physical force, they took a small bag containing 750 euros, two cell phones, and personal documents. The elderly man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital on duty to receive first aid.
The four suspects are expected to be brought before the competent prosecuting authority.
Meanwhile, in another reported robbery case, a 20-year-old foreign national was arrested; he is alleged to have, with the help of two accomplices, have snatched a sum of money and a cell phone from a 28-year-old passerby in downtown Thessaloniki.
