From September 1 through the end of the month, enrollment will take place at the Training Centers of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. According to an announcement by the Ministry, courses are expected to begin in the second half of October 2026.
As noted in the announcement, the Ministry of Education’s Training Centers constitute the largest adult education program and are open to all residents of Cyprus aged 18 and older. The program aims to meet the educational needs of its participants by offering a variety of courses at low tuition rates. According to the Ministry, more than 25,000 people participate in the Adult Education Centers’ courses each year.
Courses are offered in 25 sessions per year, once a week, each lasting 90 minutes. Each person can take courses on various topics by completing an online registration form and selecting the topics of their choice. For a class on a particular topic to be formed, at least 9 participants must enroll in rural centers and 11 in urban areas. Training Centers operate in both cities and rural areas during the morning, afternoon, and evening hours, in public school buildings or other suitable venues.
Tuition fees, following approval by the Council of Ministers, are set at €55 for both urban and rural areas, for all subjects. Members who will attend classes in both urban and rural areas and were born before October 31, 1961, will pay half the tuition fee (€27.50). In communities with a population of fewer than 500 residents, tuition is set at €27.50, and for individuals born before October 31, 1961, at €13.75.
Tuition fees must be paid exclusively online through the JCC service, using the registration code (JCCXXXXXXXX) for each course and only upon instruction from the instructor.
According to the Ministry’s announcement, enrollment at the Training Centers will take place from September 1 through September 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Classes are expected to begin in the second half of October 2026.
Those interested can find more information on the Continuing Education Centers’ website at www.moec.gov.cy/epimorfotika. Registration for the various courses offered will be conducted exclusively online via the website.
Furthermore, as noted, the instructors for each course will be assigned after the registration period ends. They will then contact their participants directly to arrange their first meeting.
