The personal information of 11,400 athletes is being traded on the dark web by Serbian sports federations, according to the Serbian BBC, which reported that hackers sent an email to the Serbian Football Federation in April 2026 and gained access to a massive database.
It contained the personal information of soccer players, as well as many other male and female athletes.
Among those whose information was leaked were international soccer players Aleksandar Mitrović, Dušan Tadić, Strahinja Pavlović, Filip Kostić, Dejan Jovelić, as well as the former national team coach of the “Plavi,” Dragan Stojković.
Also included are international basketball players such as Bogdan Bogdanović, Nikola Milutinov, Vanya Marinković, Aleksa Avramović, and Vasilije Mičić.
Svetislav Pesic was also among those whose information was leaked.
The hackers initially threatened to publish the data, demanding money in exchange for not doing so, and when they realized their threat had failed, they decided to circulate it on the dark web.
