Alarm bells have been ringing in France following revelations in *Le Parisien* about an alleged plot to kidnap Kylian Mbappé. According to the exclusive report, an 18-year-old, who is already in custody on serious charges, is said to have targeted the Real Madrid star, along with 25 other wealthy businesspeople, soccer players, and artists.
The young man, known online by the pseudonym “Lester Z,” was arrested in August and is accused of playing a central role in a series of robberies and kidnapping plots. French authorities reportedly traced two cell phones he was using from inside the Villepinte prison; analysis of the phones revealed a list of 26 potential targets.

Among them, according to a judicial source cited by “Le Parisien,” was Kylian Mbappé, who was reportedly the group’s most “high-profile” target. The same list also included rappers, jewelers, and wealthy businesspeople.
The investigation began following an incident in Neuilly-sur-Seine, where three men posed as deliverymen and attempted to trap a watchmaker. A few days later, his store was the target of an armed robbery, with the perpetrators making off with 11 luxury watches worth a total of approximately 150,000 euros.
The investigation by French authorities led to the 18-year-old, who is alleged to have coordinated the group’s actions from prison using Snapchat. Evidence found on the two cell phones seized from his cell, according to investigative sources, revealed a list of 26 potential targets.
The second suspect, who was arrested along with the 18-year-old, reportedly had plastic ties and five iPhones in his possession, which remain under examination by investigators.
The 18-year-old himself denies that he was the mastermind behind the plot and claims that he acted as an intermediary between an unknown leader and the individuals carrying out the attacks. Despite his claims, he remains in custody and in solitary confinement, while the judicial investigation is in full swing.
