How the chase unfolded

The suspicious van was spotted driving without license plates on Ellados Street in Ypsonas by a member of the Mounted Police. He signaled the driver to stop, but the driver accelerated and fled the scene. The officer began pursuing the van and called for backup, which arrived in the form of patrol cars from the force.

During the chase, the driver threw various objects at the police officers, who “responded” with warning shots at the van’s tires and into the air. The high-speed chase resulted in the van driver colliding with four vehicles.

The van was brought to a stop at the “Eleftheriou” traffic lights, and the two passengers were arrested by the authorities. Nothing incriminating was found inside the vehicle.
