The Antama Festival returns for a two-day event dedicated to Cypriot tradition, music, the arts, and community.

The Antama group, a collective of young people working to promote and preserve Cyprus’s cultural heritage, is organizing the Antama Festival for the third consecutive year. A festival that aims to bring people of all ages together through music, creativity, dance, and shared experiences.

Once again this year, the Nicosia Municipal Garden is transformed into a vibrant gathering place, hosting musical groups from Cyprus and Greece, traditional workshops, discussions, dances, and culinary delights that bridge the past and the present.

Dates:

• Saturday, September 12, 2026 | 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

• Sunday, September 13, 2026 | 3:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

ARTISTIC PROGRAM

The festival features musical groups and artists who draw inspiration from Cypriot, Greek, and broader Mediterranean traditions, presenting a program filled with music, dance, and celebration.

• 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Larnaca Progressive Movement & Irini Pelagia

• 6:45 – 8:00 PM | KORMÒS (Tassos Kofodimos & Yvonne Melissa) – A contemporary music project from Greece that blends Greek tradition with sounds from the Eastern Mediterranean.

• 8:30 PM – 12:00 AM | Traditional celebration with Michalis & Petros Kouloumis

Sunday, September 13

• 3:30 PM | Doors open

• 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM | Cretan celebration with Trio Nikriz & Stelios Petrakis

• 8:30 PM – 11:00 PM | Musical celebration with TAKIMIA & Frederiki Tombazou

TRADITIONAL WORKSHOPS & ARTS

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about traditional arts, techniques, and musical practices through hands-on workshops and open discussions.
