Ferrari got off to the best possible start in the 13th race weekend of the Formula 1 season!
In front of thousands of tifosi, the Scuderia shone during the first practice session of the Monza Grand Prix, with the Italian team securing a 1-2 finish. Specifically, during the one hour the drivers had at their disposal, Charles Leclerc was the fastest of them all; the Monegasque driver was “driving” his car with Ferrari’s upgraded power unit and clocked a time of 1:23.008.

The second-fastest time was set by his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, with the seven-time world champion trailing by +0.173, while George Russell took third place, 0.304 seconds behind Leclerc.
Rounding out the top five were Liam Lawson and Kimi Antonelli, with the two McLarens lagging significantly behind the competition, as Lando Norris was 7 tenths of a second slower than the leader and Oscar Piastri was 1.1 seconds behind!
It should be noted that Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, and Sergio Pérez did not participate in FP1, as their teams gave young drivers the opportunity to run.
