A traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon on the Nicosia–Larnaca highway, involving three vehicles and resulting in two people being taken to the hospital.
Specifically, according to initial reports from the police, a vehicle heading toward Larnaca broke down and came to a stop in the emergency lane. Subsequently, a second vehicle struck the stationary car and then collided with a third vehicle.

Two women were injured in the collision and were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Police officers and an ambulance rushed to the scene. Although there was initially heavy traffic, the road has now been reopened to normal traffic.
