AEK gets a boost in the starting lineup.
The Larnaca-based team announced the signing of Alberto Paleari, who arrived in Cyprus, successfully passed his medical exams, and took the… customary photo with Xavi Roca.
The Italian goalkeeper will be playing away from his homeland for the first time, having signed a two-year contract.
The official announcement: “AEK LARNACA FC LTD is pleased to announce an agreement with Torino FC for the acquisition of Italian goalkeeper Alberto Paleari.
After successfully passing his medical exams, the player signed the relevant contracts for the next two years.
Last season, Alberto Paleari defended Torino FC’s goal in 32 matches, 29 of which were in Serie A and 3 in the Italian Cup.
The Italian goalkeeper has made more than 370 club appearances. He began his soccer career in the youth academy of AC Milan and went on to play for AS Pontisola (37 appearances), Tritium Calcio 1908 (11 appearances), Virtus Verona (34 appearances), AC Mantova 1911 (3 appearances), AS Giana Erminio (40 appearances), AS Cittadella (102 appearances), Genoa CFC (4 appearances), and Benevento Calcio (115 appearances), before joining Torino FC (33 appearances) in the summer of 2024.”
