A historic day for Greek track and field and Emmanouil Karalis!
September 4 will forever remain etched in the memory of “Manolo,” who added yet another “golden” chapter to his illustrious career by winning the Diamond League in Brussels!
Just a few days after his incredible 6.20-meter jump and breaking the Greek national record, the 26-year-old Olympic champion continued his high-flying form and celebrated the first Diamond League title of his career tonight!
With pole vault legend Mondo Duplantis sidelined due to injury, the Greek champion confirmed his dominance in Brussels in the most emphatic way possible, bringing his Diamond League season to a spectacular close.
A jump of 5.92 meters was enough to leave the competition behind and claim first place in Belgium, following his successful jumps of 5.52 meters and 5.82 meters.
