Monaco extended Paris Saint-Germain’s losing streak at the start of the season!
After losing the French Super Cup to Lens and drawing against Rennes and Lille in their first two Ligue 1 matches, the European and French champions suffered a 2-1 home loss to Monaco and remained winless in their first three league matches for the first time since the 2012-13!
Paris Saint-Germain dominated the first half, constantly dictating the play and not allowing their opponent to threaten their goal, while they opened the scoring in the 31st minute, following a give-and-go assist from Kvaratskhelia and a goal by the attacking Marquinhos!
However, the visitors fought back after both teams returned from the locker room, playing much more aggressively and scoring the equalizer in the 58th minute, following a cross from Teze and a header by Nazinho! And as if that weren’t enough for the home team, the visitors scored a second goal in the 72nd minute, with Muzabo beating Sevalière with a powerful diagonal shot, completing the comeback!
In the remaining minutes and right up until the final whistle, Luis Enrique’s team put relentless pressure on their opponents’ defense but couldn’t find a second goal, leaving the Principality’s team to celebrate the big win and make it three wins in a row!
