The confirmed death toll from the deadly shipwreck in occupied Kyrenia has risen to 13.
According to statements made on Saturday morning by the so-called prime minister of the pseudo-state, Ünal Ustel, as a result of ongoing search and rescue operations, one more body has been located.
The body, which was found during search operations conducted by the Turkish Navy ships TCG IŞIN and TCG ALEMDAR, was confirmed to be that of a woman. The so-called police have already begun the necessary procedures to identify the unfortunate woman.

With the discovery of this body, the number of people who lost their lives in the accident has risen to 13, while the number of those missing now stands at 15.
Statements by Ünal Ustel from the port of occupied Kyrenia:
“Search operations, in which all relevant units are participating with the aim of locating the missing persons, are continuing nonstop, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In this difficult process, we express our gratitude to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, who have stood by the Turkish Cypriot people from the very beginning.
We express our gratitude to all the commanders and personnel of the Turkish Armed Forces, the Navy, the Air Force, the Turkish Peacekeeping Forces Command, and the Security Forces Command, who have contributed with great dedication and determination to search operations, as well as to all the military and civilian teams working day and night on the ground.
