Sophia Christodoulou Makri is the new president of EDEK, having emerged victorious in today’s internal party process to elect the movement’s new leadership.
Koullis Mavronikolas and Giorgos Kouttoukis also ran for the position of EDEK president.
The election process began at 9:30 a.m. and concluded at 5:30 p.m., with EDEK members casting their ballots to decide the party’s future.
With the vote count now complete, Sofia Christodoulou Makri has secured victory in the party’s internal election.
